Latinos Proclaim Islam is your Religion!

Assalaam alaiykum,
We need to let the world know that Latino Muslims exist. As American Muslims, we know that many Latinos live within the United States and that their numbers are increasing significantly. By 2050, one out of every four Americans will be Latino! The correlation between Latinos as the fastest growing population in the US and Islam as the fastest growing religion in the US is worthy of the Muslim community's attention.

Let's not forget Allah who states in Surah 41:33, "Who is Better in speech than the one who says, 'My Lord is Allah (believe in His Oneness),' and then stands firm (acts upon His Order) and invites mankind to Allah's Islamic Monotheism and does righteous deeds, and says...'I am one of the Muslims.'

Americans say that Allah isn't mentioned in the Bible. We then say that Allah simply means God in Arabic. Both God and Dios mean Allah, but Allah is used to denote "The One God." Americans say that only Arabs are Muslim. We say show them wrong by following Allah's advice by proclaiming, "I am one of the Muslims." Indeed, Latino Muslims help to end many misconceptions about Islam.

We know that focusing on race is frowned upon in Islam. You know race doesn't matter. We know race doesn't matter. But Americans can't get their minds off race or nationality. They need a paradigm shift. They don't think Islam is the true, universal religion of God. They see it as something foreign. Inshallah, with our book many Americans will wonder "Why are so many Latinos converting to Islam? What is it about that religion?"

We Latino Muslims need to leave a mark. There's a Hadith that discusses a well of never-ending rewards. When you create a well, you will be rewarded even after your death because others will continue to benefit from the well. When you write a story for our book, you will be rewarded as if you created a well. Allah encourages us to leave behind a continuing stream of charity. You will be rewarded even after your days are numbered!
